Updated Clinic Workflow Relating to COVID-19

With the constant influx of new information daily regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) our office is taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our patients, families, and staff. Please read the information below.

Our office follows infection control recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

We ask that patients wait in their car and call our office at 325-646-5296. At that time, you will be asked a series of questions to determine the appropriate entrance and room number for your appointment. We will call or text when an exam room is available.

Upon entering the clinic a mask must be worn.  This is per COVID-19 Minimum standards for safe practice in accordance with the adoption of the Texas Medical Board emergency rule amendment to 22 TAC §190.8(2)(U) pursuant to Executive Order GA-19.

Although it is a personal decision, our physicians are encouraging the importance of well check appointments. These appointments are necessary to assess growth, development, and to continue on the recommended vaccination schedule. We will continue to keep you informed. Please check out website often for new data and links to important information relating to COVID-19.

We thank you for joining in our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Sincerely,

Gwendolyn J Allen MD
